The Society's articles, books, publications and other information pertaining to the history of Orient and East Marion are available for viewing by appointment only in the Donald H. Boerum Research Library located in the Hallock Building.

Handling the Collections
Our experienced staff is committed to providing research assistance to its users. All materials must remain in the library and may not be removed.

Researchers are required to store cell phones, purses, backpacks, and briefcases before using archival and library materials. No food or drink is allowed in the library. Patrons are required to use a pencil to take notes. Pens or markers of any kind are not permitted.


Photo Usage Policy
The OHS reserves the right to refuse to duplicate/photocopy materials considered fragile or rare.

OHS photographs and materials may not be reproduced, resold, or otherwise commercially used without specific written permission from the Director and Collection Committee. If you anticipate publishing, exhibiting, or making any commercial use of OHS photographs or photos from the collection, you will need to submit a formal request to: OHS Director, PO Box 70, Orient, NY 11957.

Fees
Photocopies, $0.25 each
Scans of Photos, $5.00 each
Research by OHS Staff, $45.00/hour plus photocopy fees
